I build software the way I'd want a house built: beautiful, functional, and made to be lived in. Here's a little about how I got here.

A short introduction

Hello, I'm Alexandru.

A few words on why I started Pathora and what I care about.

My story

From the pitch to the keyboard.

My life didn't start in software. It started on a football pitch. I came up through academy football, where every day was training, repetition, and learning to perform when it mattered. You learn quickly that talent is only a starting point. What counts is discipline, showing up, and doing the fundamentals well until they become second nature.

Football also taught me that nothing worth winning is won alone. You read your teammates, you trust them, and you pass at the right moment. When the pressure is highest, calm and precision beat panic every time. I carry all of that into how I work with people today.

When football ended, I had to reinvent myself. I taught myself to code, then to design, and I fell in love with building things people use every day. Somewhere along the way I noticed how much better software can feel when it's made with real care. Apple's software was a big part of that for me: the sense that nothing needs explaining, that it simply works, and that using it is a pleasure. I wanted to give other people that same feeling in their own work.

I'm also passionate about architecture. I expect the same from software as I do from a house: it should be beautiful and it should be functional, and neither one is optional. That's the standard behind everything Pathora builds.

What I bring

Lessons from the pitch, applied to products.

Discipline

Fundamentals every day. Clean code, clear design, and the patience to do it properly.

Teamwork and trust

The best results come from real partnership. I'd rather be honest with you than tell you what you want to hear.

Calm under pressure

Deadlines and launches are where composure matters. I stay steady, and so does the work.

Beautiful and functional

Like a good building. If it isn't both, it isn't finished.

Let's talk

I'd love to hear what you're building.

Send me a note and I'll reply personally.
